# Overview

Our ecosystem is structured in three layers: Data Layer, Protocol Layer, and Application Layer.

### Data Layer&#x20;

Taking a pragmatic approach, we currently use fractal Bitcoin as the DStorage place and DA layer. However, as fractal Bitcoin's functionality strengthens, we will adopt a greater degree of on-chain integration: using fractal Bitcoin as the smart contract layer and Bitcoin as the DStorage place.

### **Protocol Layer**&#x20;

Composed of game server, game engine, mod library, and fragments. Their relationships are as follows:

* **Game Engine**: Developers use the game engine to create mods, and the mod library is a collection of these mods.
* **Module Library**: Game developers can prioritize reusing composable mods from the mod library, then add their own game-specific custom mods (optionally adding these to the mod library), and combine them with specific rules and frontend visuals to create games.
* **Fragment**: As a game developer, you can define the number of game editions. Each edition is called a fragment, which can be understood as a game template. Fragment owners can customize the parameters within the game.
* **Game Server**: Games built under our framework are automatically matched with a game server, eliminating the need for developers to deploy servers themselves.

### Application Layer

Consists of UniWorlds Studio, UniWorlds App, and Asset Marketplace

* **UniWorlds Studio**: An editor based on the game engine, serving as the user interface that developers will interact with.
* **UniWorlds App**: All game ecosystem components combined and presented in the form of a mobile app.
* **UniWorlds Marketplace**: Built into the UniWorlds App, it's an asset trading platform independent of individual games.


# UniWorlds Studio / Game Engine

UniWorlds Studio is the user interface for our game engine, serving as the cornerstone of the UniWorlds product line and the driving force behind our entire ecosystem. While comparable to professional 3D modeling development engines like Unity3D, it's specifically designed for User-Generated Content (UGC) games.

Our engine has its roots in a professional UGC game development team, the predecessor to UniWorlds. It has undergone seven years of continuous iterations and optimizations, culminating in the latest blockchain-tailored generation: UniWorlds Studio.

Based on this modular approach, UniWorlds Studio features a **Mod Library**. This library supports both the front-end 3D scene editor and the back-end integrated code hosting service, all composed of Mods.

Mods include models, textures, lighting, and special effects. Users can easily construct scenes by dragging and dropping these components. They can customize workspace layouts according to personal preferences and needs, and even save multiple workspace configurations to suit different project requirements. UniWorlds Studio supports various scene templates and element presets, helping users quickly start projects or achieve specific visual effects. At the same time, it allows for detailed adjustments to all scene objects through parameter panels, including position, size, and material properties.

Creators can make detailed adjustments to every object in the scene, including position adjustment, size scaling, and material property modifications. This feature ensures that each element accurately meets design intentions and can be flexibly applied and reused in projects, **truly embodying the advantages of modular design: high reusability, ease of management, and iterative updates.**

Furthermore, through modular design, UniWorlds Studio's backend code provides integrated hosting services for data and resource management, greatly enhancing its load capacity and flexibility. The core module management functionality includes an extensive code module library, supporting various game features such as physics engines and user management.


# Fragment / Space

As a game developer, you can define the number of game editions. Each edition is called a fragment, which serves as a game template. Fragment owners have the right to customize various parameters within the game.

Fragments are designed to address a common challenge in game development: while many game developers excel in game design, they often lack the willingness, experience, or resources for game operations. By converting game templates into fragments (in the form of NFTs), we separate these two roles and create a win-win situation:

1. **For Game Creators**:
   * Immediate upfront revenue from selling fragments
   * Ongoing earnings through royalties from subsequent game operations
2. **For Space Operators**:
   * Opportunities to profit from game operations
   * Access to high-quality game templates

This system ensures that original creators have a vested interest in the long-term quality of their games while providing them with a continuous revenue stream.

### **Space Creation Process**

When a user purchases a fragment from the marketplace (or inscribes a free template), they can create a game space by binding it to a domain name. Similar to how domain names work on the internet, these domain names act as proxies for entering the game spaces.

This approach allows for:

* A familiar system for users to access different game spaces
* Potential for valuable domain names within the UniWorlds ecosystem

# Assets

UniWorlds currently features two main types of assets: **Domain Names** and **Keys**.

### Domain Names

* Function: Allow fragment owners to create playable spaces, acting as proxies for entering game spaces.
* Format: End with the .uniworlds suffix.
* Ownership: Having a domain means having sovereignty over its associated space.
* Genesis Event: In March 2024, a genesis minting event occurred. All domains minted before block 835,405 are part of the UniWorlds Genesis Domain Collection.
* Importance: Holders of Genesis Domain Collection domains are eligible for subsequent "Key of Destiny" NFT airdrops.
* Availability: New users can still acquire .uniworlds domain names through the [UniSat service](https://unisat.io/inscribe).

### Keys of Destiny

* Purpose: Serve as proof of early participants in the UniWorlds ecosystem.
* Distribution: Based on the number of domain names from the UniWorlds Genesis Domain Collection held in a single wallet.
* Tiers: The more domain names held in a single wallet, the higher the tier of the Titans key received.

* **Where are Fragments issued? On the Bitcoin mainnet or Fractal Bitcoin?**\
  Fragments can be issued on both the Bitcoin mainnet and Fractal Bitcoin.
* **How much do Fragments cost?**\
  The cost is determined by the game developer at the time of issuance.
* **For Fragment owners, what parameters can be set for your Fragments?**\
  The specific parameters that can be set for Fragments are determined by the game developer. Game developers can open up certain game parameters, such as circulating tokens, key item prices, in-game probabilities, and more.
* **Can Fragments be traded?**\
  Fragments are Ordinals NFTs and can be freely transferred once minted to a wallet. However, whether they can be traded on mainstream marketplaces depends on the game developers, who need to apply independently to register collections on various marketplaces.
* **If a Fragment is traded during operation, how is the attribution of revenue determined?**\
  Revenue generated before the trade belongs to the previous owner. After the trade, the old game space will go offline. The new owner must reinitiate the game space in the UniWorlds App, and subsequent revenue will belong to the new owner.
* **Is the number of simultaneous online users limited for each game space?**\
  Yes, since all game spaces are currently hosted on UniWorlds servers, each game space can accommodate up to 50 online users.
* **Can a Space operator hold multiple Fragments?**\
  Yes, because the online user limit for a Fragment's game space is 50. If your community has many players, you can obtain multiple Fragments to open multiple game spaces and accommodate more players.
* **If game developers update game content, will the content of Fragment game spaces be updated accordingly?**\
  Currently, if game developers update game content, the content of Fragment game spaces will be updated accordingly. In the future, there will be a version control process with greater flexibility, allowing Fragment owners to independently choose whether to update the game.
